Docs To-dos & Issues
Notifications
Turfile notifications are mobile pushes, and this is the full list of who gets each one.
Turfile notifications are mobile pushes. There are no emails and no web pop-ups. On the web you get red badges and panels instead.
Who gets each push
| What happened | Who gets the push | The push says |
|---|---|---|
| An issue is created (any section) | Owners + Management | ”New issue” |
| A tree work order is created | Owners + Management + the assignees | ”New work order” |
| A to-do is assigned to you | The assignee only | ”New task” |
| An issue is resolved | Owners + Management | ”Issue completed” |
| A to-do is completed | Owners + Management + the assignees | ”To-do completed” |
| A work order is completed | Owners + Management + the assignees | ”Work order completed” |
The body names the section and property, then the issue type and item. If a push can’t determine its title, it falls back to “Turfile update”.
Two fine points:
- If a resolved issue had a linked to-do, you get the “To-do completed” push instead of “Issue completed”, not both.
- Staff are only notified about their own work, never about other people’s items.
On your phone
- The app-icon badge counts unread pushes and clears when you open the app.
- Tapping a push opens Turfile, but it doesn’t jump to the item yet. Find it in the Issues panel or your to-dos.
- If you’re already in the app, the push shows as a banner with Dismiss, and slides away on its own after six seconds.
If something’s not working
If you’re not getting pushes, make sure you’re signed in on the mobile app with notifications allowed, and check Turfile in your phone’s settings if it never asked. There are no email notifications; Turfile is push-only. If it’s still not working, email us at support@turfile.com.
