Report an issue on the map
Outline a problem area right on the drainage map, watch it pulse until it's handled, and resolve it with notes and photos.
Not every problem sits on a mapped item: standing water between basins, a washout over a drain line, or ground that needs attention. Outline it on the map and it becomes a tracked issue like any other: it joins the Issues list, it can become a to-do, and it pulses on the map until someone resolves it.
Report it
-
Click Add to map on the left toolbar and choose Report an issue (“Outline an area on the map that needs attention”).
-
Outline the area: click the map to add points, at least three. Double-click or press Enter to finish, then click Continue. Reset starts the shape over.
-
The “Report drainage issue” form opens. Give it a Title (“What’s wrong?”), add a Description if it helps, and attach up to 4 photos with Add photos.
-
Click Report issue.
-
Tap Add in the bottom bar and choose Report an issue (“Outline the affected area on the map.”).
-
Tap the map to add corners around the area, then tap Complete. (A polygon needs at least three points.)
-
The “Issue details” sheet opens. Add a Title, a Description, and photos, then tap Create Issue.
Spot trouble at a glance
- Items with an open issue on their Issue tab show a red pulsing ring on the map.
- Drawn issue areas pulse on the map until they’re resolved.
One look at the map shows you where the problems are before you open a single panel.
Resolve it
Click or tap the pulsing area to open the issue.
-
The issue panel opens with the title, “Marked area”, who reported it and when, its photos, and any linked to-do.
-
Click Resolve issue. The dialog says “Add context around the fix and any photo evidence. This will move the issue into this section’s history.”
-
Write the “Resolution note” (“Describe what was done, materials used, or remaining follow-ups.”) and attach photos with Attach reference photos. Both are optional on the web.
-
Click Resolve issue.
-
The issue drawer opens. Tap Resolve issue.
-
The “Solve this issue” sheet opens. Fill in “Resolution details” (“Describe what was done, materials used, or follow-ups.”, required on mobile) and attach up to 6 photos.
-
Tap Save Resolution. You’ll see “Issue Resolved”: “Saved to the club history.”
Resolving archives the full record (report, to-do, and fix) into History, and the area stops pulsing.
Good to know
- Map issues sit in the “Drainage Issues” panel alongside item-attached issues, with the same #N priority ranking and Make To-Do. See Track issues.
- A problem with a specific basin or outlet is better reported on the item itself, so it counts against that item’s record. See Item details, logs & issues.
If something’s not working
You don’t see Report an issue. The Add to map button is Owners and Management (“Adding objects is limited to management or owners.”).
Continue (web) or Complete (mobile) won’t fire. The outline needs at least three points. Mobile says so: “Polygons need at least three points.”
“Failed to save issue. Please try again.” The save didn’t reach the server, usually connectivity. Your form entries stay put; try again.
