Privacy Policy

Turfile Technologies Inc. (“Turfile,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you access or use the Turfile web platform and the Turfile mobile companion application (collectively, the “Service”).
This policy applies to all users of Turfile.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create or access a Turfile account, we collect information necessary to identify and authenticate you, including your name, email address, login credentials, and organizational affiliation.
Property and Operational Data
Turfile is a map-based operational system. As part of using the Service, you may create, upload, or manage data relating to your golf course, including but not limited to:
Asset locations and infrastructure data
Irrigation system data
Inspection schedules and records
Issue logs and annotations
Property boundaries and spatial layers
Uploaded images, videos, or documents
This data is stored securely to provide mapping, tracking, and operational functionality.
Location Data (Mobile Application)
If you grant permission, the Turfile mobile application may collect your device’s precise location. Location data is used solely to support map positioning, navigation within the property, and field-based workflows.
Location access is optional and may be disabled through your device settings at any time.
Turfile does not use location data for advertising purposes.
Usage Information
We may collect limited technical information necessary to maintain and improve the Service, such as device type, operating system, app version, log data, and crash diagnostics.
Billing Metadata
Turfile collects subscription-related metadata such as plan type and billing status. Payment card details and financial account information are processed by third-party payment providers and are not stored by Turfile.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide and operate the Service
Authenticate users and maintain account security
Render geospatial maps and infrastructure data
Synchronize mobile and web updates
Store uploaded media and documentation
Improve platform performance and reliability
Respond to support requests
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information.
We do not use personal data for behavioral advertising.
3. Sharing of Information
We may share information with trusted third-party service providers that support the operation of Turfile, including:
Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers
Mapping and geospatial service providers
Payment processors
Analytics or diagnostic providers
These providers are contractually obligated to process data only as necessary to provide services to Turfile.
We may also disclose information if required by law or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Turfile, our users, or the public.
4. Data Security
Turfile implements reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include secure cloud hosting environments, access controls, and authentication protocols.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information and operational data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill contractual obligations, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Upon account termination, we may delete or anonymize personal information in accordance with applicable laws and internal data retention policies.
6. International Data Transfers
Turfile operates in Canada and may use service providers located in other jurisdictions, including the United States. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction of residence.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may also request information about how your data is processed.

Location access may be managed through your device settings.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for professional use by adults and is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. Turfile does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
