Schedule and track inspections

Put every irrigation type on a recurring inspection rhythm, work the urgency-sorted list, and sign items off in one click.

Inspections help you find problems early, before a weeping valve floods a green. The Inspection Scheduler puts every irrigation type on a repeating clock, sorts what’s due into one list, and stamps each item when someone signs off. The toolbar button shows a badge with your overdue count.

Set the cadence (web, Settings tab)

  1. Click Inspection scheduler on the left toolbar. The “Inspection Scheduler” panel opens.

  2. Switch to the Settings tab: “Tune how often each irrigation asset needs an inspection…”

  3. Drag each type’s slider to its rhythm, 0 to 52 weeks, shown as “Every N weeks”. Leave a type at 0 and it never comes due.

  4. Click Save Settings.

Cadences are per type: all heads share one rhythm, all valves another. There are no per-item or per-person schedules, no calendar view, and no notifications. The Upcoming list and the toolbar badge are where due work appears.

See what’s due

The Upcoming tab is the working list. Filter by type, hole, and area; the Upcoming / A–Z toggle switches between urgency order and alphabetical. Sorted by urgency, “never checked” comes first, then “N days overdue”, then “check within N days”. Click any row and the map flies to that item.

Tap Inspections in the Irrigation command bar (“Inspection runs and results.”). The same list appears: filter by Type, Hole, and Area, and sort with the Upcoming / A–Z pills. Each item shows “Never inspected”, “N days overdue”, or “Due in N days”. Tap one to open its drawer.

Every item’s Details tab carries the same status on its “Last Inspection” card, so whoever’s standing at the head sees the clock without opening the scheduler.

Mark an item inspected

There’s no separate inspection form. The fastest sign-off is right in the list: every row carries a round check button (“Mark inspected”). One click stamps the inspection with your name and the date, logs it on the item, and resets its clock. There’s no confirmation step, so only click it when you intend to record an inspection.

You can also sign off from the item itself:

Open the item and click Currently Works on its Details tab. Turfile logs that you “observed this item as fully functional.” and resets the inspection clock.

Open the item’s drawer and tap the checkmark on its “LAST INSPECTION” chip. This records the same sign-off from the field.

The Preventative wheel

The “System Analytics” widget on the map tracks your progress: its “Preventative” wheel shows how many items are up to date against their cadence. Until a schedule is saved in Settings, it reads “No schedule config”.

If something’s not working

“No inspection cadence configured for these filters.” (Mobile.) The types you’re filtered to have their sliders at 0. An Owner or Management member sets cadences in Settings on the web.

You don’t see the Settings tab. You’re Tech Staff. The Upcoming list is yours, but cadences are Owner and Management only.

The analytics wheel says “No schedule config”. No cadence saved yet. Set the sliders and click Save Settings.

“Failed to record inspection. Please try again.” The check-button save didn’t reach the server, usually connectivity. The row is unchanged; click it again.

Everything says “never checked”. Turfile only counts inspections that have been marked. Work the list with the check buttons and the statuses will update.

You expected an email or push reminder. There isn’t one. The overdue badge on Inspection scheduler and the Upcoming list are the reminders.
