Docs Area Manager
The Areas ledger
Every mapped area in one list, grouped by hole or by area type, with square footage totals for each group and the whole property.
Click Areas in the toolbar and the ledger slides out on the right. It lists every area you’ve mapped, with a square footage total for each group and a property-wide total at the top. The toggle at the top switches how it’s grouped: By Hole shows each hole and the areas on it; By Area Type shows each type (greens, tees, fairways) and, inside it, the individual holes with their totals.
Using the ledger
- Click a group to expand it and see its areas.
- Click an area row and the map flies to it and highlights it. Click the row again, click blank ground on the map, or close the ledger to deselect. This works in both directions: clicking a shape on the map opens the ledger with that area selected, its group expanded, and the list scrolled to its row.
- The checkboxes show and hide areas on the map, useful when you want to look at a single area type. This only affects your view, and resets on your next visit.
Editing an area
-
Click the pencil next to the area in the ledger.
-
Change the name or the tag chips, then Save changes.
-
To adjust the outline, click Edit shape and drag points or midpoints; right-click a point to remove it. To replace the shape entirely, click Redraw to draw it again or Turfile Vision to re-trace it. In every case the area keeps its name, tags, and history; only the shape changes.
-
Click Save shape. The square footage updates automatically.
Good to know
- Deleting an area (in the pencil panel) requires confirmation. Saved prescriptions are not affected; they keep a snapshot of the shape as it was applied.
