Requesting satellite imagery

Ask Turfile to source a satellite pass of your course. Pick the resolution and timeframe, and we find the closest match, quote it, and publish it as a layer.

Satellite is the fast way to freshen up your map. You tell us the clarity and timeframe you’re after, and Turfile handles sourcing the imagery and delivering the closest match.

Send the request

Open the Layers widget on the right and click Manage layers to open the Layer manager. Go to the Request imagery tab and choose Satellite imagery, then Start quote form.
Pick a resolution. 30 cm / pixel looks like fresh Google Earth imagery. 15 cm / pixel is roughly twice as sharp, with clearly visible grass lines, bunkers, and tree canopies. Turfile shows an estimated cost for each, so you know the approximate price before you commit. (It’s an estimate; your real quote may vary.)
Choose the timeframe, either the most recent imagery of your property, or a specific month and year from the past if you’re after a historical look.
Agree to the imagery terms, then click Submit satellite request.

You’ll see “Request received — our team will be in touch shortly.” That message confirms the request came through.

What happens after you request

You’re not on your own from here. Turfile runs the rest:

We search. We query our imagery providers for the closest captures matching your resolution and timeframe.
Quote and approve. We come back to you with pricing and timing. Nothing is purchased until you approve, so there are no surprise charges.
Acquire and publish. Once you approve, we pull the imagery, process it, and drop the finished layer straight into your workspace.

When it’s ready, the new layer shows up in your Layers widget, ready to toggle on the map.
