Docs Layer Management
Showing layers on the map
Toggle your layers on and off from the Layers widget, stack as many as you like at once, reorder them, and switch on 3D terrain.
Showing layers is the everyday part of layer management. Once you have layers, the Layers widget in the widget panel on the right is where you turn them on and off.
Toggle any layer
Each layer has its own switch. Turn one on and it appears on the map; turn it off and it disappears. Nothing else changes, so toggling is always safe.
Stack as many as you want
You can show more than one layer at a time. Turn on a drone flyover and a survey overlay together, or compare a couple of satellite passes. Every layer you switch on stacks onto the map at once.
When two or more are on, the order matters, since the top one draws over the ones beneath it. Drag the layers in the widget to reorder them until the map looks right.
Additional controls
- 3D Terrain. A separate toggle at the top of the widget adds Mapbox terrain relief, useful for reading slopes and drainage.
- Hidden layers. If a layer’s missing from the list, it may be hidden from the widget. The widget shows how many are hidden; bring them back from Manage layers. See Managing your layers.
That’s the whole widget: switch layers on, stack and reorder them, and set the map up the way your crew works the course.
