History
Every section keeps a permanent record of issues, to-dos, and work orders, with notes and photos. Browse it, jump to the map, and add records of past work.
History is your property’s permanent record. When an issue is resolved or a work order completes, the whole story lands here as one entry: the report, the to-do it became, and the fix, with the notes and photos that went with them. When the green chairman asks what happened on 14 this spring, this is the panel you open.
Every section keeps its own history. Open History in Irrigation and you see irrigation events; open it in Home, Drainage, Bunkers, or Trees and you see that section’s events.
Open the record
Click History on the left toolbar (the clock icon). The panel opens on the right, titled for the section: “Irrigation history”, “Home history”, and so on. Scroll for older events, or click Load more.
Tap History in the bottom command bar (“Timeline of recent actions.”). It’s the same list, with one screen per section.
Each card shows what kind of entry it is (Issue, To-do, Work order, or Record), its outcome (Open, In progress, Completed, or Resolved), the date, a preview of the note, and photo thumbnails.
Read an entry
Open a card (Details ›) and you get the full story in one place: Reported with the original note and photos, the To-do with who it was assigned to and when it was completed, and Resolved with the closing note and photo evidence. On the web, click any photo to view it full size.
Jump to the map
Entries tied to a place carry Show on map. Click it and the map flies there and pulses the item or area so you can see exactly where it happened. On the web this works in Home, Irrigation, and Drainage; the Bunkers and Trees lists are browse-only.
Add a historical record
Irrigation and Drainage history can hold more than what Turfile tracked itself. A record is work done outside the app, before you had Turfile or by a contractor, filed at its real date.
-
In Irrigation or Drainage, open History and click + Add record. The “Add historical record” form opens in the panel.
-
Give it a Title (“e.g. Replaced mainline on 7”), set the Date of work, and add Notes: “What was done, by whom, materials used…”.
-
Optionally click + Draw area on map and outline where the work happened. Click the map to add points, then Continue. You can draw more than one area.
-
Add Photos: Upload photos from your computer, or Choose from property to attach photos already uploaded to the property.
-
Click Save record.
-
In Irrigation or Drainage, open History and tap + Add record. The “Add record” sheet opens.
-
Give it a Title, set the Date of work, and add Notes.
-
Optionally tap Draw area on map: tap the map to add corners around the area, then tap Complete.
-
Add photos: Take photo or Choose photo from your device, or Choose from property photos to reuse photos already on the property.
-
Tap Save record. You’ll see “Record saved”: “Added to the section history.”
The property photo picker (“Property photos”) shows everything uploaded to your property, filterable by section, so field photos taken months ago can back up the record without re-uploading anything.
Delete a record
Open the record’s entry and choose Delete record. Turfile asks you to confirm; deleting can’t be undone. Only records can be deleted. Entries written by resolved issues and completed to-dos are permanent.
See past work on the map
In Irrigation and Drainage on the web, the Filters panel has a Show History switch. Flip it on and the outlines of past events appear as ghosts on the map; click one to open its history entry. Details in Filter the map.
If something’s not working
You don’t see the History button. History is Owners and Management only (“History is limited to management or owners.”).
“No history captured yet.” Nothing’s been resolved in this section yet. It fills in as the crew works, and you can backfill with records.
+ Add record is missing. Records live in Irrigation and Drainage only. Other sections’ histories are browse-only.
“Failed to load history. Please try again.” This is a temporary network error. Reopen the panel or click Load more again. For anything else, email us at support@turfile.com.
