Issues and to-dos

Drop a problem or a job anywhere on the Home map as a point, line, or area, hand it off as a to-do, and close it out with notes and photos.

The Home map is where you track anything that doesn’t belong to a specific asset type: a washout, a downed limb, a gate that won’t latch, a job for the crew. You drop it on the map, hand it to someone, and close it out with a record. It’s the same loop as the rest of Turfile, covered in To-dos & Issues, just started from the open map instead of a mapped item.

Owners and Management create and prioritize issues, Tech Staff can view them, and everyone works their own to-dos.

Drop an issue on the map

The Home composer lets you place an issue exactly where it belongs, in whatever shape fits the job.

  1. Click Add issue on the left toolbar.

  2. Choose a location method to match what you’re flagging:

    • Single point: pin a single spot for small issues.
    • Line: trace an edge or a run point by point.
    • Polygon: outline a larger work area.
    • No location yet: skip placement and add it later.
  3. If you’re drawing a line or area, place your points on the map and click Continue when the shape looks right.

  4. Fill in the Log Issue form: an Issue title (like “Washout on front-left bunker”), any Details, and up to four photos. You can also tag it with a category, such as Safety, Playability, or Environmental.

  5. Click Save issue. It’s now on the map for the whole crew.

  1. Tap Add Issue, then choose how to place it: a single point, a line, an area, or no location at all, the same options as the web.

  2. Put it on the map. For a point, tap the spot or use your current location; for a line or area, drop the points that make up the shape. Confirm it looks right, then tap Proceed.

  3. Fill in the Issue details sheet: a title, a bit of context, and any photos.

  4. Tap Create Issue. Your team gets notified right away.

See and prioritize your issues

Open Issues to see the General Issues panel: every open issue on the Home map, stacked as a priority list. On the web, Owners and Management drag the cards into order so the crew always knows what’s next. Click any card and the map flies straight to that spot.

Hand it off as a to-do

An issue sitting on the map is a note to yourself. Turning it into a to-do makes it someone’s job.

From an issue, choose Make To-Do (web) or Assign To-Do (mobile), pick the teammate, and set a due date. They get a notification on their phone, and the job lands in their list. Full details, including who gets notified, are in Assign and work to-dos.

Work your to-dos

Open the To-do manager to see the work assigned to you. It splits into My To-dos and Team To-dos, and each card carries the item, its due date, and a quick description. Click a card to jump straight to the job on the map. Staff see only their own list, so their assigned work stays in view.

Close it out

You don’t check a to-do off directly. You finish the underlying issue, and the to-do closes with it.

  1. Open the issue, from its map pin or its to-do card, and click Solve issue.

  2. Write a short resolution note, what was done, materials used, or any follow-ups, and add photos if you have them.

  3. Save resolution. The issue clears off the live list, its linked to-do completes itself, and the whole story lands in History.

Resolved is final; there’s no way to reopen. If the problem comes back, drop a fresh issue.

If something’s not working

If you can’t create or prioritize issues, that’s almost always your permission level: creating and ranking Home issues is for Owners and Management. Staff flag problems to a manager and work the to-dos assigned to them. For anything else, email us at support@turfile.com.
