Environmental
Record the wildlife and habitats on your property, log sightings on the map, and track stewardship projects from planning to completion.
The Environmental section is a map-first record of what lives on your property. You build a species catalogue for your site, log sightings where they happen, mark habitats, and run projects like naturalization areas or nest box programs. Everything lands on the same map you use for the rest of Turfile.
In this section
- Log a sighting: record what you saw, where, when, and how many.
- Add and identify species: build your catalogue by name or from a photo.
- The species catalogue: browse, edit, and correct every species your property knows about.
- Habitats: map wetlands, nest boxes, hedgerows, and other places wildlife depends on.
- Projects and progress: plan stewardship work and log updates as it moves.
- Tracked wildlife: follow a specific individual, pair, or colony over time.
- Filter the map: narrow everything to a date range or a set of tags.
- History and record logs: the full ledger of sightings and changes.
